In fine dining the cloakroom is the guest's first point of contact with the venue. Wooden hangers with a wide shoulder, at least 4 to 5 centimetres, are needed so jackets and coats hold their shape through a long meal, with a smooth finish that does not snag delicate fabrics. In kitchen and service changing rooms the requirements shift towards metal or plastic hangers that clean easily and withstand humidity.
